Colour Create #23

Hi peeps, this is another one of my cards that i managed to make yesterday, but decided not to load up until today ... gonna try eeking them out over the week instead of mass posting at the weekend and silence through the week lol!

This weeks colours are Blue and White, with the optional extra of VINTAGE.

I was really pleased that we were back to using 2 colours for the Colour Create challenge ... 4 is a bit extreme in my opinion .... not that, that counts for anything these days pmsl! Anyhow, I did thoroughly enjoy making this card and am dead pleased with the results.

As you can see from the sentiment this is another card i made for my estranged ... emphasis on the strange .... sister. Another card that she wont get, cos its just too flippin' good for her. I've taken the sentiment off now and changed it to Sister-in-law for my parents to give to my Auntie and instead used the card that i made my Mum for Mother's Day for my sister lol! My parents don't keep the cards i make for them .... i know ... how rude?! I can't bear for them to be thrown away after all my hard work, so i have them back and recycle them lol .... yes i'm tight! I can live with her having one that was made for someone else, but just couldn't get my head round making one especially for her ... odd i know.

Just Magnolia Week 13

Flippin' heck ... i was gonna leave this card and post it tomorrow rather than doing them all at once and then having nothing to show for about a week lol! ... but then i realised that it had to be done tonight or not at all!!!!

The Next Level ~ Challenge 7

My eye is a lot better today and so i've been able to make a few cards.

The Next Level challenge this week is to make a card using the sketch provided but with an added twist .... "your image needs to be layered or raised in a 3D effect". And would you believe that i've actually managed to do this ... the first time and after only reading it the once lol!

Not sure if you can actually tell from this photo or not but i have layered Tilda ... i cut out the envelope , her hands and her left knee and layered them on top.

Balloon Arch and Injury!

I thought i would share with you the balloon arches that i made for Rylee's birthday party yesterday. They turned out a lot better than we expected them too and everyone seemed to really like them.

We used the poles from the girls old tent ... i throw nothing away lol .... you just never know when it'll come in handy.

The balloons where from out of the helium cans that you can buy from Asda, each canister comes with 25 balloons .... again, i couldn't bare to throw them away. We didn't use them because we had balloons printed for our special birthdays in our favourite colours from here.

Now the photo below is my injury that i acquired this morning ... being a woman and super organised and multi-tasking, i was getting all Rylee's birthday presents, cards and letters that we needed to post together to take with us. I had my handbag full of stuff on my shoulder and some of Rylee's presents in my left hand. With my right hand i picked up the letters to put in my handbag so used my left hand with a carrier bag full of pressies in to open my bag on my shoulder ..... big mistake .... Rylee's pressie containing his goal posts ended up poking in my eye .... ouch!

This is the result and is about 3 hours after i've done it and one lot of eye drops from the chemist later! I've now had another lot of eye drops and a sleepy-byes but it still flippin hurts.

I Really Must Read Challenges ....

What the flippin' heck is wrong with me? .... Clearly, this reaching .. ahem ... 40 ... has had a serious affect on me! I just don't seem to be able to follow half of these challenges. Saw a gorgeous sketch at Truly Scrumptious this week, made a fab card .... just went to upload it and was reading the blog again and it states that the card has to be made using black and white and one other colour ... what colour is mine? .......

... yep ... not black and white! Amazing really that this seems to be becoming a habit. I suppose it doesn't really matter cos at least it got one my August cards done lol.

Why is it that a fab evening always has to end with some sort of drama? Last night we went out to our local pub for a meal and drink to celebrate Vicki's (my VBF) upcoming 40th birthday. It was a lovely evening .... my sis came with us, i thought it'd be nice for her to get out and have a little fun what with recent Beth events. Although since her return earlier in the week, progess had been made. It couldn't last though could it? My sis got home to find that Beth hadn't been and watered my Dad's greenhouse and taken the shopping down there as she'd promised to do! Chris phoned Beth 13 times and text her 6 times asking her to come home and bring my parents key back so that she could go and do it herself .... nothing! Well nothing until 11.40pm when the keys were posted through the letterbox! My sis went outside to have a word with Beth, but she was just going into the neighbours house across the road and either didn't hear my sis shout her or chose to ignore her. Beth had parked her car across the road at the bottom of my street. There were 4 lads in the car, the doors were open on it and music bellowing out of it. My sis did no more than run across the road and get in the drivers seat .... she refused to move when Beth came to the car and eventually got the keys off her again! The lads were turfed out of the car and the car is now parked in the yard with the gate padlocked with a heavy duty lock and all 3 keys in Chris's possession! Beth went off in a strop with the boys and at 1.15am was still not home! So yet again it looks like we're in for another eventful weekend .... its Rylee's birthday party on Sunday and at some point i need to make a balloon arch ... i'm hoping that Fae has forgotten about it to be honest lol! Wish me luck pmsl!

I was looking through my image box and found this gorgeous Sarah Kay that one of you lovely ladies sent me (as usual i can't remember who), but i think she's absolutely adorable and the only one i have!

I'm sat here listening to Rylee and Andy playing on the PS1 lol .... Rylee desperately wanted to play on his Pop's Wii this morning and no matter how cute he looked or how much fuss he kicked up, it wasn't happening! I suggested Andy set up the PS1 on our telly in the bedroom cos its surplus to requirements and it doesn't really matter if it gets broken. Rylee thinks its fab and i'm sure Andy does too, cos he snook upstairs with Rylee, saying they needed the loo lol ... in all fairness Rylee has started potty training last Wednesday and we've only had a few accidents ... just the one today! All i can hear is a police siren and lots of shouting and screaming. At least it gives me chance to have a little crafting time.

Ellie phoned today and has text on numerous occasions lol ... her and Tilda got up at 9 this morning and sat on the balcony and had tea and toast! When she rang she was sat in a bar, wearing a bikini, drinking Sangria! She had to rub it in and say how hot it was and that they couldn't bare to walk on the sand it was sooo hot!

Beth came home last night, after her 3 nights away ... she still brought her attitude home with her and promptly told her Mum as she left this morning for work, that she would be home tonight, but not until she was ready! What do you say to that? I'd really appreciate it if some of you could make a card for my sis ... she feel rather alone on this one and i'm sure they'd cheer her up no end!

Well, what has happened to the sunshine? I think Ellie and Tilda took it to Tenerife with them this afternoon. Yes, we have a peaceful week here. God help anyone who's in the same hotel as them pair .... bless em, they were soooo excited. We went with Tilda's Mum to Birmingham Airport to see them off ... was a bit disappointed that we never got to actually see an aeroplane though! They've been read the riot act and lectured on drinking, sex (which was a no no), never to leave each other under any circumstance and the other usual topics lol. This is a first for Ellie and she was shaking as we walked her to the "Departures" ... I did explain that she was safer on a plane than she would ever be in Beth's car pmsl!

Which leads me nicely on to Beth .... she came home last night ... went in the house .... into her bedroom ... came out of her bedroom, with a folder and the housing application form we printed out for her on Sunday and went off again! She never said a word. She has text Mum this morning and I quote "can i stop at home 2nite or not x" .... now never once has my sis told her she can't, Beth has just decided that she wasn't! We've decided that its best not to reply to text messages though in the hope that she'll come home to communicate ... at this stage anything is worth a try. We have no idea where she's been staying since Saturday night, although we have a good idea we haven't actually been told. Ellie tried to ring Beth last night to say bye ... but she didn't pick up ... her and Beth have been close up to this point, with there only being 12 months between them ... so Ellie's was a little put out ... didn't last long i might add pmsl! Oh and btw ... sis's new debit card arrived this morning ... lets see how long this one lasts lol! .... don't know if any of you could or would, but if you have time i'd love for you to make my sis a card to let her know that she's not on her own in all this, cos thats how she thinks, she doesn't have a blog so is only getting support from family ... and we have to be nice lol! ... maybe put a little bit of advice in there for her! Anyway, if you can please mail me for her addy .... it would truly make her smile, if only for a few minutes each time she saw them on her mantlepiece!

Moving swiftly on to the Beth update ... last Monday my sis finally managed to get hold of Beth's ignition key ... apparently it fell in her pocket of Beth's keyring lol. We had decided to remove what we saw as the cause of the problem ... Beth wasn't a pain in the a** until she passed her test! My sis told Beth that she had her key, but clearly she didn't believe her ... well that is until Tuesday morning when she got in her car to go to work and realised it wasn't on her keyring. After launching the mop and bucket across the yard, head butting her brother and smashing her bedroom lightbulb she locked herself in the car and refused to come out!!! It took 2 hours to get her out of the car and after a stern talking too from my Dad she went to work late ... with Dad in HIS car lol! Every day last week we had whinging from her either in person or via text message. If she wasn't whinging, she was shouting, crying and being abusive ... which always helps when you want something pmsl! We did think that things were improving and that she was finally getting what we were saying to her ... how wrong were we?!!! .... Friday night my sis bought the ignition key home (hope been selotaped inside her locker door at Morrisons lol) so that Beth could drive them both to the hairdressers Saturday morning. You'd think after all the fuss she'd kicked up she'd have been in the car ready and waiting to go ... nah ... she lay in bed till the very last minute and then expected my sis to reverse her car out, Beth reverse her's out and then my sis put her's back ... well that wasn't happening when they were running late! So she had to wait till the afternoon to drive it, but with the condition that my sis was in the car when she did so. This caused yet another argument ... but she did comply eventually and off they went to get new tyres ... thanks to the new boyfriend, who whilst Beth was driving along pulled the handbrake up so they did a 360 degree turn in the road! Once they got back it was agreed that Dec (trainee mechanic) would take the heat shield off the car as it was rattling. Off my sis went up to her fella's and left the 2 kids at home with the gates padlocked so Beth couldn't get out ... or so we thought ...Dec being the angel he is {chokes} this week bought the new padlock for the gate ... handed over the padlock and keys still in packaging to my sis ... so to recap .... gates are padlocked, sis has the only 2 keys that came with it .... oh no ... Dec has the 3rd key that came with the padlock unbeknown to us ... he had no money so got Beth to pay for the spare key so she could go out ... bless him! Since then Beth hasn't been home yet ... well when my sis is there anyhow ... she's text asking to talk to her Mum ... who i might add has replied with "i'm not interested", due to the content of the text messages (me me me me!) Via text last night she promised she would be home early this morning ... we're still waiting! And to top it all Dec decided to top his phone up again to the tune of £60 this time on my sis's debit card ... that £240 in the last 2 months ... the bank still wont do anything about it cos its family ... so once again she's had to cancel her card and order a new one. She generally keeps it with her, but thinks that when Beth was kicking off she must've left it lying around somewhere and he copied the number down. O2 aren't interested either, still saying that Dec needs to phone up and cancel the card off his account ... like he's going to do that! How much fun are we having? BTW, this card is for Dec off my parents lol!

Obviously, i would've like to upload this before now but last week was an action packed with one way or another with our darling Beth ... and Dec! The Just Magnolia challenge 12 is So Charming so i shall be entering this card into that challenge too.

Our Real Life Tilda

I just wanted to show you all our real life Tilda ... unfortunately for us she has a mouth, unlike the Magnolia Tilda ... thats something we can only dream about lol! I mustn't diss her too much cos she brought us a gorgeous victoria sponge sandwich home with her today from work. She works at Birds ... so you can only imagine how yummy this cake is gonna be!

I managed to take this tonight just before the girls went out to a BBQ and then on to town clubbing and god was it a chore! Tilda (on the left) moaned because Ellie was doing her glamour model posing lol ... and she didn't know how to do it! Ellie (obviously on the right lol) moaned cos Tilda touched her hair and worked one of her extentions loose as well as touching her make-up lol! Tilda then complained cos Ellie was shorter than her but wouldn't allow her to stand on step! Oh to be young again!

Magnolia Summer Kit

Any ideas when we might be getting this little baby? There wont be too much Summer left if it doesn't arrive soon and from the looks of their website they can still be ordered! My Spring kit came in March so it figures that the Summer kit should be here June, but we only have 3 more days left! I've hunted the net and no-one seems to know anything about them .... i'm dying here! Please help lol!!!

And lastly Declan came last night to show us his very first tattoo! Bless him ... i told ya he adored our Rylee!

Beth Update: I kidnapped her Wednesday night and spent 2 hours shouting at her in my car ... things have slightly improved since and we're taking baby steps at the minute. Its just the lies none of us can cope with. Sister's BF don't help either, keeps saying Beth should have a check for Bipolar Disorder ... he seems obsessed with her children having some sort of mental health problem. Told my sis to tell him if he can't be supportive then to keep it shut. Yesterday he'd very nearly convinced my sis that perhaps Beth was Bipolar .... think he watches too much Eastenders personally ... looked the symptoms up online and phoned sis and told her that i suffered with half a dozen of the symptoms so i must be too!!! Yeah, i know i'm mental pmsl!
Looks like he's done the same and interpreted them to suit. When she text and told him she was just a spoilt child his reply was "21st century teenager i wouldn't have got away with it when i was her age" ... perhaps not, but he's making up for it now .... !

Ok so lets see if i can actually get this challenge right the first time or if i really am retarded! pmsl! I'm thinking that all its wanting me to do is follow the sketch ... nothing else. I can't possibly get that wrong now can i? .... dont answer that! I can do following a sketch ....

I just love this card. Why has this turned out so well when its for someone i dislike so much lol ... sod's law i suppose. Now your wondering if i've completely lost the plot ... making a card for someone you dont like?! Let me explain .... its not for me to send ... its for my parents to send to my eldest sister (i'm the youngest of 3 girls ... god help em lol) I haven't spoken to her in 10 years or so ... and would you believe since not doing so, there have been less arguments and fallings out. I must add that it was her choice. She doesn't speak to the middle sister either (Beth's Mum) and we still dont know why yet lol! Anyway .... waffle ... waffle ... waffle.....

Beth update ..... we wrongly thought we had a break through with her yesterday ... mainly cos she's ditched the boyfriend and cos she seemed to be a little remorseful for her actions of late!(emphasis on the little). My sister wouldn't allow her out in her car yesterday and kept the padlock on the gates (only one key for them which was on my sisters person at all times), but low and behold Houdini escaped as soon as my sis had gone to her fella's house for tea last night. We still dont know how she managed to remove her car or how she undid the padlock ... (she's not that intelligent ... and heaven forbid she do it herself ... her being a princess like!). She was home when my sis got back just after 10.30pm, but proceeded to abscond again when her back was turned and didn't get in till after 1.30am. Obviously wanting to be quiet and respecting others that were in bed asleep, she decided to have a rather loud mobile phone conversation and just couldn't grasp why my sis was only ever so slightly p***ed off with her! When's it gonna end? I'm thinking Phil Redmond might be interested in basing a soap around their lives lol ... i have however suggested my sister applies for the new series of "The Family" .... god it'd make good viewing i tell ya!

Edited: Been thinking about this card and the more i look at it the more i realise its just to good to give her .... so a decision has been made lol .... she's NOT having it, i'm gonna make her another!

Colour Create Challenge #20

This weeks challenge is ... fruits. Choose ANY THREE of the following colours; Strawberry, Raspberry, Kiwi, Tangerine and Blackberry. Obviously you dont need the exact shades of these colours, so a little bit of artistic licence is just fine.......... we're talking Red, Pink, Green, Orange and Black really!

Another blasted male card! With the added brief of nothing to cutesy cos its for a more mature person shall we say .... personally i'd say it was for an oldie lol .... late 40's pmsl! (me being only 25 ... dream on ...40 is really old :( and i'm feeling it!). Fortunately, he does have a sense of humour ... which helps i suppose when your THAT old!!!

I've used Blackberry, Kiwi and Strawberry with a hint of Tangerine in the paper.

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ Dawny's Sketch #17

Yayyyy! I've done it! Finally made the last card for the BIL's birthday! So all 4 of em now have been completed and are all tucked up inside an envie ready to send to him the end of July ... who am i kiddin'? ... like we're actually gonna send them lol .... no doubt we'll all be cheapskates and give them to Shauna (waves) when they come to Rylee's birthday party ... well that's my intention anyway! Another fab sketch to follow from Dawny ... i do love these sketches! I've taken advantage of Rylee being totally exhausted and got to work on this card. He fell asleep in my arms before we'd even left nursery ... bless him ... he just knows!

Again the inside has been decorated with left over papers and also with a cute little teddy stamp from Habico ... RAK from Jill and coloured with watercolour pencils. I keep forgetting i have some of these stamps ... its not till i open the drawer and have a good brevit that i find them. I've been trying to use some of my gorgeous stamped images that i've received from you lovely ladies instead of stamping. Its working quite well ... i still have loads though, but i wont be defeated lol! Its also good cos i don't have a lot of stamps really ... well not in comparison to some of you lot anyway pmsl! So, these images are helping with my very strict craft diet, that i seem to have been on forever! I do really appreciate all the images you send me, if it wasn't for all the special envies i receive i'd have had to pack up cardmaking earlier on in the year ... thank you soooo much for helping to feed my addiction, i love you all and you know who you are xxx

Just Magnolia # 10 & Friday Sketchers #57

Well hello there! .... It seems like an absolute age since i last blogged, 5 days to be precise lol! Where is the time going. The week either lasts a fortnight or just 2 days pmsl! The sun is out ... at the minute (put all my washing out and then it rained ... bloody weather) and as i sit here at the dining table and look out it looks gorgeous. Rylee is at nursery till 2.30pm and then hopefully he'll go to sleep for an hour or so.

This weeks Just Magnolia challenge is "Summer" - so any project that is inspired by Summer is what we are looking for and what better inspiration than the weather outside and the forecast of more sun! The sponsor for this week is Jacobi Drachten and they are offering a fabulous prize of a set of Inkadinkado Stamps, a bottle of stamp cleaner and a Scrub-it pad.

Yet again i've managed to create the male version of both challenges .... whats happened to all my women?! I now have only 4 more July cards to make and only 1 more for the person who is getting this and the 2 previous cards.

I did struggle with the whole "Summer" theme. I have very few Edwin's let alone ones that are appropriate for the warmer months .... can't wait till the Summer Stamp Club Collection are released! Probably be too late for me this year though lol!

String ~ Morrisons ... i made a small cut in Edwins hand (ouch!) and threaded the string through the back so that he appears to be holding it.

I decorated the inside with left over paper and made another kite with scrap card, watercolour pencils and string.
